PLAYING a pill-popping, wine-guzzling, insensitive grandma in new emotional drama The Lovely Bones doesn’t really resonate with Susan Sarandon.

In fact on the George St red carpet for the Peter Jackson -directed film last night, the feisty Hollywood heavyweight revealed being the exact opposite was the key to her eternal beauty.

“Don’t smoke as I do in the movie, don’t drink too much and just be happy,” was her advice to Confidential.

Sarandon returns to the US today after a 24 hour visit, but hinted she may return next year.
